Wand & Whisk Café is a locally owned dessert café in Little Rock, Arkansas, created for people who believe dessert should feel like an experience.
Inspired by Japanese desserts and the warmth and wonder of a magical guild, Wand & Whisk offers a little escape from the ordinary. Come celebrate a birthday, meet friends who share your interests, enjoy dessert with your family, or simply settle into a welcoming space designed to feel playful, comforting, and a little otherworldly.
Our world draws inspiration from magical girls anime, tabletop games, trading card games, fantasy novels, and video games, but all you need is an appetite and a willingness to believe an ordinary day can still hold a little magic to join the guild!
Luxury Soft Serve Ice Cream in Little Rock, Arkansas
At the heart of Wand & Whisk is our signature luxury soft serve.
Our recipe is made with real dairy and formulated at 12.5% milkfat, giving it an exceptionally rich, smooth, and creamy texture. It was developed and refined in-house, with Japan’s celebrated luxury soft-serve tradition serving as our benchmark.
As pharmacists by training, founders Jesse Pruitt and Gwendolyn Herzig understand that formulation is not a matter of guesswork. Ratios matter. Ingredients matter. Small adjustments can completely change the finished result. Our Guild Master brings that same precision and consistency to every batch we serve.
You will find our signature soft serve in taiyaki cones, dessert cups, potion floats, and seasonal guild creations. Our menu also includes Japanese-style rolled crepes, freshly made taiyaki, colorful potion sodas, and other desserts designed to taste every bit as special as they look.

Meet the Founders
Dr. Jesse Pruitt, PharmD
Jesse leads much of the creative vision behind Wand & Whisk, from its characters and storytelling to the desserts and experiences that bring its magical world to life. Outside of work, he loves to cook, collect toys and trading cards, and play video games.
Jesse studied chemistry at Arkansas State University before earning his Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He and his wife, Erica, have four children: Parker, Leo, Griffin, and Freya.
Dr. Gwendolyn Herzig, PharmD
Gwen brings the enthusiasm and determination that help turn ambitious ideas into places people can actually experience and enjoy. A lifelong Arkansan, she studied biology at Arkansas State University, graduated with University Honors, and earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from UAMS.
She and her wife, Beth, are the mothers of two daughters, Autumn and Evelyn.
Jesse and Gwen first built their working partnership at Park West Pharmacy, where caring for people and creating a genuinely welcoming environment have always gone hand in hand. Together, they later created a family of locally owned Little Rock destinations celebrating imagination, play, and Japanese pop culture: Otaku Takeout, Lucky Cat Arcade, The Dojo, and Wand & Whisk Café.

Dylan Hobby, Guild Master
Howdy! I’m Dylan Hobby, the Guild Master here at Wand & Whisk Cafe and a Pulaski Tech Culinary Arts graduate. Growing up watching shows like Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and my love for theme parks both helped spark my lifelong passion for food and immersive worldbuilding. This of course led me here to help bring an immersive cafe experience to my home state of Arkansas alongside the Oni Co LLC family. When I’m not at the cafe, you can find me exploring my favorite fictional universes like Pokémon and Elden Ring, playing TCGs with my fiancé Redd, hiking the best trails the Natural State has to offer, or taking care of our pets in our home town of North Little Rock. I also LOVE music and am almost always listening to great tracks. Some of my favorite artists include Tame Impala, Daft Punk, and Glass Animals. I also have an excessive collection of flat-billed hats and food-themed Magic Cards. With a last name like mine, it is inevitable to have a lot of Hobbies.
Megan Covey, Assistant Mage
Hi everyone! I'm Megan, the Assistant Mage at Wand & Whisk Café! I graduated from Colorado Technical University with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Management. I'm passionate about baking, a huge anime and manga fan, and enjoy spending time with my two dogs. I'm dedicated to creating a magical, welcoming experience and making every guest's visit a little sweeter.
